Even the most charming restaurants can face small but frustrating online challenges. For The Noisy Oyster, the booking system was letting reservations through outside of opening hours. This meant the owner had to spend extra time checking and declining requests that couldn’t be accommodated. At the same time, the website’s photography and layout didn’t fully capture the vibrant, unpretentious spirit of the restaurant. Visitors, especially those coming from abroad, needed a clearer sense of what to expect before booking.
The result was a website that wasn’t helping the restaurant shine as much as it could. The task was to create a website that made bookings reliable, reflected the restaurant’s personality, and made life simpler for both the owner and their guests.
The website was rebuilt as a simple, easy-to-use single-page site. The booking form now only allows reservations during open hours and collects all the details the owner needs upfront, so enquiries are ready to go and don’t require extra back-and-forth. Visitors can see the menu, find the restaurant on a map, read live reviews from other guests, follow the restaurant on social media, and browse safely online.
Photos were added to show the restaurant at its best, giving people a real sense of its atmosphere. These changes make it easy for guests to explore the restaurant and make reservations with confidence, while the owner benefits from a system that works smoothly and reflects the personality of The Noisy Oyster.
