JOB OVERVIEW
The Technical Sales Specialist at Big Beard Web Solutions will play a pivotal role in selling cloud solutions and custom software development services, particularly those built on AWS. The role requires a blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and the ability to communicate complex solutions in simple, value-driven terms. This person will support the AWS Sales Lead and collaborate with architects, developers, and project managers to close opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Qualify and manage inbound and outbound sales opportunities for cloud-based and custom development solutions.
- Work closely with technical teams to develop solution proposals and respond to RFPs.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective clients.
- Coordinate with AWS Partner team to leverage co-selling opportunities and funding.
- Document and maintain pipeline in ACE (AWS Customer Engagement tool).
- Support the creation of case studies, solution briefs, and technical marketing materials.
- Track performance against KPIs such as MRR, pipeline growth, and closed-won deals.
- Conduct product demos, technical walkthroughs, and onboarding support sessions as needed.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
- 1–3 years experience in B2B technical sales, preferably in SaaS or cloud services.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and software development lifecycles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate client needs into technical requirements and communicate them effectively to dev teams.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and proposal creation tools.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
